Abstract

Learning Outcomes

This case study explores the key elements of designing an effective fundraising strategy for a social enterprise run by religious women. It aims to help students understand the strategic approaches to resource mobilization and the challenges involved in transitioning an organization to the next level. Students will analyze the role of change management in social enterprises and evaluate the financial and governance considerations required for sustainable growth. Additionally, they will examine risk management strategies in fundraising and project implementation.

Case synopsis

This case aims at illustrating on what is required to design an effective fundraising strategy for a social enterprise run by the religious women. The case study is useful in illustrating the strategies required when transitional an organisation from one level to another – part of change management and the resourcing required.

Complexity academic level

The case is designed for a course in social entrepreneurship and may be taught to either an upper-level undergraduate and/or graduate audience. The teaching note has been thoughtfully designed to guide instructors through the available options in terms of learning objectives, discussion questions and suggested teaching activities.
