Abstract
Learning Outcomes
This case aims to help students understand how social ventures, particularly those led by Catholic Sisters, can maintain their core mission while achieving financial sustainability. Students will reflect on the decision-making processes involved in scaling a social venture, specifically in the context of raising funds for an elderly home at the Ngare Mara centre. Through this case, students will assess strategies for avoiding mission drift, developing management and marketing strategies that align with the venture’s mission, and ensuring long-term sustainability. The case will also provide insight into balancing ambitious growth goals with the preservation of core values in social enterprises.
