Dr. Amit Mittal is serving as Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Programs) and Professor (Management) at Chitkara University, India. He is currently responsible for the research outcomes of Chitkara University with a focus on PhD programs, research publications and capacity building events. 

Eighteen scholars have been awarded PhD degrees under his guidance, and he has published over 200 Scopus-indexed papers, with a number of these included in the ABDC/ABS journal list.

He has also been included in the Stanford Elsevier World’s Top 2 Per cent Researchers list consecutively for two years, 2024 and 2025 and was the recipient of the Career 360 “Outstanding Faculty Researcher Award” 2023, “Megastar Award” Chitkara Excellence Awards 2023/4, the Chitkara University Excellence award 2024, 2025 and 2026 (Publications in Business School Category). 

He is an active resource person for FDPs, MDPs and Corporate Trainings. He is a member of the thesis review board of a number of universities. 

Dr. Mittal serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Technology Management for Growing Economies (JTMGE), Section Editor for Journal of Transformative Technologies and Sustainable Development (Springer) and Associate Editor for the Open Psychology Journal (Bentham) as well as the South African Case Centre. He also contributes as a member of the Advisory Boards and Scientific Committees of various reputable national and international journals and conferences.
