Prof. David Mathuva is an Associate Professor of Accounting & Financial Markets at Strathmore University Business School, where he also serves as the Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs. He holds a PhD in Business Administration (Accounting and Finance), a Master of Commerce in Forensic Accounting, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance. Prof. Mathuva is a member of both the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), and he is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK. His professional background includes significant experience at KPMG Kenya in the Risk Consulting department, specialising in forensic services. Academically, Prof. Mathuva has over a decade of teaching experience and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on topics related to accounting and finance. Additionally, he has consulted for various organisations in East Africa and has been actively involved in facilitating corporate training sessions and risk assessment workshops.
