Dr. Sally Kah is a Senior Lecturer in Business Management at the Faculty of Business and Law. Her research explores how social enterprises create impact, build resilience, and address emerging social challenges and unmet community needs. Sally's research focuses on three interrelated themes: social impact, social enterprise resilience, and social innovation.

In her recent project, Sally investigates how social entrepreneurs develop resilience strategies in response to the UK cost-of-living crisis. She uses creative and participatory methods such as drawings, multi-stakeholder focus group discussions, document analysis and interpretive phenomenological analysis.

In bridging the gap between academia and practice, her work is disseminated through several types of sources, including case studies, industry reports, and academic journals. Through this work, she seeks to generate knowledge that supports resilient communities, social enterprises and sustainable development. She is also an SDG Fellow for Research at De Montfort University and a member of the European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
