Strathmore Africa Case Centre (SACC)

Aims and Scope

The Strathmore Africa Case Centre (SACC) publishes quality cases aimed at offering participants with real-life situations that require managerial decision making in a classroom setting. SACC aims to document these stories, not only in Africa but also beyond. Special emphasis is placed on case studies from Africa and other developing and emerging economies. However, this will not be exclusive, as the SACC is open to any case study that is aligned with its various disciplines.

Both the case studies and teaching notes are vigorously reviewed to ensure that the intended learning outcomes are sufficiently met. The overall aim is to ensure a dynamic classroom engagement with lessons learnt.

SACC invites real-life cases, based on primary or secondary data sources about real organisations, with real people making real decisions. In some cases, some case studies can have information disguised to protect the real identity of the organisation and/or the individuals involved. A consent form signed off by an authorised representative from the participating organisation is required, especially where data utilised are from primary data sources. SACC does not publish case studies that are not connected to a real organisation and/or individual.
